Lets talk about something that EVERYONE avoids talking about on this site. Female sexual aggression. Especially towards OTHER women. Lesbian aggression is actually pretty fucked up. But because of “awesome” things such as the Vagina Monologues it either goes ignored or it’s justified as a “good rape”.
It seems that even lesbian relationships are marked with violence. Domestic abuse in lesbian relationships is very high and it has gone ignored for quite some time (and continues to be ignored). The lesbian community turns a blind eye to this type of aggression.
In Bernhard’s (2000) sample of 215 adult women (136 lesbians and 79 heterosexual women) from a Midwest urban area, nearly 65%of the lesbians and 53% of the heterosexual women reported that they had experienced some type of violence. The women in Bernhard’s (2000) study were generally educated, with lesbians having slightly more education than heterosexual women but reporting lower incomes. Of the participants, 54% of the lesbians had experienced at least one experience of sexual violence and 51% experienced nonsexual physical violence. (source)
What also goes ignored on this site? The level of female perpetrators in sexual abuse cases involving children. For some reason everyone on here wants to turn a blind eye to the level of sexual assault women commit. As it turns out in a national study of 270 day care sexual abuse cases 40% of the perpetrators turned out to be women.
It goes ignored, a lot, and it seems that feminists and feminist theory are one of the many barriers in recognizing abuse, because feminists will find away to justify sexual abuse committed by women, citing things about patriarchy and male dominated society. Plus, with how sexual assault is defined in most places, it’s nearly impossible to actually convict a woman of sexual assault.
The problem is that, this is an actual problem, and it’s being ignored by basically everyone in favor of “TEACH MEN NOT TO RAPE!” and “ONE IN FOUR WOMEN”. Propaganda and faulty statistics about men, specifically, aren’t helping do anything about this rape epidemic feminists keep screaming about if women are actually the huge part of the problem.
No to mention when men who have been raped object to not only being erased from discussions but actually told they are rapists by default, feminists snarl at them to “stop derailing” and “this isn’t about you mra manbabies cry somewhere else” and “lol not all men” or even “men can’t get raped”. In fact the whole term “rape culture” was meant to describe the sexual climate of most male prisons: where young and attractive inmates are targeted for rape, where gay and trans prisoners are targeted for sexual violence to either humiliate them or out of the assumption they are the closest thing to a woman, that many vunerable inmates (especially young gay or trans prisoners) are forced to become the “prison wives” of powerful inmates, since as the sexual property and concubine of one powerful man, that will save them from constant gang rape (unless another prisoner attempts to show dominance or challenge by raping or attacking another guy’s prison wife of course.) And how rape can used to punish or humiliate those who break the rules that the inmates set amongst themselves. People love to joke about prison being a sexual paradise for gay men, but nothing could be further from the truth. And of course, how guards usually ignore rape in prisons, since the prisoners establishing a pecking order amongst themselves means they are less likely to fight the staff. In fact, there are quite a lot of reports of staff abusing their power to have sex with, coerce or even rape prisoners: there is said to bea high number of female staff molesting young male prisoners in young offender’s institutions. This was the original defintion of the term “rape culture”.
Feminists saw the term, said “OURS!” and proceeded to make it all about themselves, leaving an widely ignored crisis (the rape climate in men’s prisons) to be ignored the way it always is. Feminists did not care: they got a new toy to play with at the expense of male victims, male victims who are overwhelmingly of the minorities they claim to care so much about.
Feminist treatment of Erin Pizzey is a perfect example of how feminists treat anyone who dares to say that things like rape, sexual assault, domestic violence and eating disorders are not the “female troubles” feminists desperately like to maintain.
Well for one, look at the lack of notes on this, I mean had this been something “shocking” about men it would have gotten 80k notes in an hour. For two, feminists are absolute queens of derailing and argument and then accusing someone else of doing it. I never, ever see any feminist bring up the fact that lesbian domestic violence, or rape, or female sexual abusers are a problem when they are a huge part of the problem. Why is that? Because feminists don’t think women could commit these crimes? It’s like they live in the mentality of a man from the 1950s “What? A woman rob a bank? Hahahahaha no that’s silly women don’t do bad things” and then yell at people over their own stupidity.
